A short stroke piston with an adjustable valve. Gas drives the piston rather than the carrier, so the carrier stays cooler under sustained fire.
Two pieces. The recoil spring, buffer and tungsten anti-bounce weights ride inside the carrier, which is what removes the buffer tube.
Six parts: bullet, casing, insert, powder and a two piece primer. Most decisions downstream depend on this one.
The recoil spring drives the carrier group home. The bolt strips the round forward into the chamber and locks behind it.
A 135 grain bullet, pushed by 65,000 psi behind it. The rifling turns it down 348 mm of barrel at a 7:1 twist.
It leaves the muzzle at 2,750 ft/s, the speed the design needs for it to still be doing 1,900 ft/s at 500 m.
The Picatinny top rail runs the length of the handguard, fixed through threaded inserts.

A complete, high-detail CAD archive of 30+ firearm platforms - every entry modeled part-by-part, from receiver architecture and bolt carrier groups down to pins, springs, and fire-control components. Each platform is documented as a finished exterior study paired with a full internal cutaway, and the entire collection is maintained as a single controlled archive, revised as new studies are completed.
